ABOUT THE BOOK

This book will help you see that love and leadership are not mutually exclusive and learn that without love, you cannot be an effective leader.

The one action verb most frequently missing from various manifestos on leadership is love. In Love Leads Dr. Steve Greene shares real-life examples, principles, and exhortations of the love of a leader. You will discover what it looks like to lead with love—is there a process of love? is tough love really love?—and you will view leadership as it’s never been seen before as Dr. Greene dispels the myths and misconceptions many have come to accept about leadership. The real-life principles in this book are fully supported throughout by the actions of God who “so loved that He gave…” leading you to see with new insight that the true essence of leadership is love.

—JAMES RUSSELL, PHD
PROFESSOR OF ECONOMICS AND CHAIR OF THE UNDERGRADUATE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ORAL ROBERTS UNIVERSITY

Dr. Greene is an amazing leader. He sees people for who they can be and calls it out of them. Much of who I am, personally and professionally, is a testament to that. People naturally gravitate toward him. His presence encourages everyone he encounters to come up higher. Dr. Greene possesses the finest ability to apply leadership strategy. What’s more, the anointing on him in this capacity is significant; the Spirit undoubtedly speaks and attracts through him. Love Leads is a fantastic work that I’ve seen Dr. Greene live out as long as I’ve known him as a professor, pastor, mentor, business leader, and friend.

—DR. RICE BROOKS
AUTHOR, GOD'S NOT DEAD

Dr. Steve Greene's extraordinary leadership principles are summed up in one word: love. In reading his book, I'm reminded afresh that "knowledge puffs up, but love edifies (1 Cor. 8:1, NKJV)." I deeply respect and appreciate this book and the man who wrote it!

—RON LEWIS
SENIOR MINISTER, EVERY NATION CHURCH NYC AND KING’S PARK INTERNATIONAL CHURCH DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA

I consider my relationship with Dr. Greene to be one of my life’s greatest blessings. Since meeting Dr. Greene eight years ago, I’ve known him as a dean, professor, pastor, mentor, and friend. So much of who I’ve grown to be as a lifelong student, believer, wife, and professional is the result of Dr. Greene’s ability to lead in love—and I know countless others who can say the same. Dr. Greene sees people not according to what they do but rather according to the fullness of their hearts—he sees them as Christ sees them. Love Leads is a beautifully written book about just this.
